In-Person Services Resume PDF Print E-mail

We are pleased to announce that our church will be open for in-person worship services beginning on Sunday, June 7th.

Governor Cooper has recently moved the state into Phase 3 of his reopening plan, and has exempted churches from limits on gatherings, while continuing to recommend safe practices of hygiene and physical distancing. For this reason, we are limiting attendance in the sanctuary to approximately 45-50 people, and using the fellowship hall for overflow seating.

Moreover, based on solid science, we will not be including congregational singing in our in-person worship services. Instead, our praise team will provide the music for the service.

We are aware that many in our congregation and community are not yet ready to participate in an in-person gathering. For this reason, we are continuing to broadcast the service on Zoom. To attend via Zoom, click here.

The service will begin at 11:00 a.m., and will last 45-60 minutes. We will open the service for viewers by 10:45 a.m., so that you can log on and check your audio and video connections.

Feel free to share this link broadly, by pointing friends to our website, as this service is open to the general public, and we invite anyone to attend.

See below for an edited version of recent services.

Virtual Sunday School PDF Print E-mail

During this time of enforced separation, our Sunday School classes and other small groups are meeting through Zoom, a web-based video conferencing platform.

A meeting schedule of class dates and times, along with links to the class sessons themselves, has been emailed to all those active in our fellowship.

If you did not receive a schedule, please contact the church office at 252-435-6230. We send you a meeting schedule, and will make sure that your contact information is properly entered in our system.

Helping One Another PDF Print E-mail

From time to time, life gets hectic. A new baby is born. A parent is house-bound, recovering from surgery. A husband is out to sea and the washer breaks down. An out-of-town family member is terminally ill.

When those times happen, and they happen to all of us, a meal from a caring church member can make a world of difference.

To facilitate this kind of personal ministry, we've subscribed to a new service, Meal Train. It's a way to identify needs among our church family, and to coordinate the response to those needs.
