The MBC Preschool addresses the educational, social, and spiritual needs of two-, three-, four-, and five-year-old children. Classes meet in the morning, roughly from 9:00am until 12:00 noon. Precise start and end times for the various classes are staggered to reduce congestion in the church parking lot for drop-off and pick-up.

Classes are organized based on the enrollment age criteria of the Currituck County Public Schools. That is, the age of your child as of August 31st determines which class your child would attend.

The 4-year-old class ("fours turning five") is designed for children who will enter kindergarten the following year. We have two classes for 4-year-olds, taught by Tatiana Yarger and Wendy Lee, with assistance from Stacey Belue and Charity Patrick, respectively. Both classes meet four days per week, Monday-Thursday.

The 3-year-old classes ("threes turning four") is intended for children who will enter kindergarten in two years. These classes meets three days per week. Our 3A class, taught by Shylena Birchfield and Mary Carr, meets on Monday through Wednesday. The 3B class is taught by Loni Carlin and Charlene White and meets on Tuesday through Thursday.

The two-year-old class ("two's turning three") is intended for children who will enter kindergarten in three years. This class meets two days per week, Monday and Tuesday, and is taught by Chelsea Castelow and Dana Keffer. We also have a second two-year-old class that meets on Wednesday and Thursday, and is taught by Rebecca Martinez and Dana Keffer.

Our preschool director is Rhiannon Hartley.

Feel free to drop by the church and visit the classes at your convenience. A complete guide to the preschool, its philosophy and policies, can be found in the parent handbook.
