Each year, we offer members and guests the opportunity to purchase a Christmas poinsettia in memory or in honor of a loved one, and have that poinsettia placed in the sanctuary during the Christmas season. You can place such an order by filling out the back of the pink card in the bulletin, and placing the card in the offering plate.
This year, we're able to offer a way to order your poinsettia online. Click here, you'll be taken to an online order form.
The poinsettias will be placed in the sanctuary on Sunday, December 15th, for the Christmas season. We ask that poinsettias remain in the sanctuary until after the Christmas Eve services, at which time, you may take them home for your personal enjoyment.
The order deadline is Sunday, December 2nd.
This year's Christmas cantata, Love Made A Way, by Mary McDonald and Jay Rouse, will be performed by our Adult Choir on Sunday, December 15th, during the morning worship service at 11:00am.
Our annual Christmas Caroling Tour will take place on Friday, December 20th, starting at 5:30pm. We'll return to the church between 7:15pm and 7:30pm for a hot bowl of soup.
We'll be visiting Currituck House and a number of homes in the community, spreading some much-needed Christmas cheer.
If you are interested in participating, please use this form to sign up and let us know you are coming.
We'll have our annual Pastor's Chilli Supper and Church-Wide Christmas Party on Sunday, December 22nd, at 6:00 p.m., in the fellowship hall.
We'll enjoy chili prepared by the pastor, the singing of favorite Christmas carols, and a presentation by the MBC Puppet Team.
We invite the whole church family to join together for a fun evening of fellowship and Christmas joy.
Designed especially for preschoolers and younger children, the Birthday Party for Jesus will take place on Tuesday, December 24th, at 10:00am, in the fellowship hall. The party features a reading of the Christmas story by our pastor, a birthday cake in Jesus' honor, and the wrapping of presents for the Christ child. Alight lunch will be shared before we enjoy the birthday cake.
Each child is asked to bring items suitable for an infant, such as diapers, baby bottles, clothing, etc. During the party, the children will wrap the presents and place them under the Chrismon tree in the sanctuary. After Christmas, the gifts will be donated to the Albermarle Crisis Pregnancy Center.
